ALL CREW MEMBERS: I was advised to renew my passport, but my passport is still valid until the sign-off date. Do I really have to renew it?
You may have been advised to renew your passport even if it remains valid through your sign-off date. This is because your passport must meet minimum validity requirements beyond the duration of your contract.

• Your passport must be valid for the entire duration of your contract plus at least one (1) additional month.

Additional requirements apply depending on your sign-off location:
• Europe or China: Your passport must be valid for at least three (3) months beyond your sign-off date.
• Indonesia or Singapore ports: Your passport must be valid for at least six (6) months beyond your sign-off date.
• If your passport does not meet these validity requirements, you will need to renew it prior to your assignment.
